Hi my name is Natasha Brown and it’s lovely to e-meet you!

As the owner and principal of Ascendance Academy I enjoy passing on my knowledge in a nurturing, encouraging manner and inspiring my students to dream big! To me it doesn’t matter if my students are just dancing for fun or training for a career in dance, every student is equally important and valued under my guidance.

I myself began my dance journey at the young age of 3 when at play group teacher told my mum I had great co-ordination and should give dancing a try! I feel in love with it from the moment I started and haven’t stopped dancing since! 

After 15 years of training at my local dance school I went on to perform dance professionally both in Australia and overseas before starting my Dance Studio owner journey in the Sutherland Shire.

I spent years up-skilling myself to ensure I was qualified in all our studio programs such as:

• Ballet
• Jazz
• Tap
• Contemporary
• Lyrical
• Hip Hop
• Acrobatics
• Circus

It’s now been 14 years of running this amazing studio and I could not be prouder of the community we have created together!

• Choreography 5 school musical for Rosebank College
• Choreographed and won 1st place 6 years in a row for tap, jazz and contemporary for Rosebank College’s competition teams
• Taught at over 40+ Primary and High Schools including Sylvania HS, Laguna St PS, Cronulla PS and Loftus PS
• Arc Dance UNSW Co-Ordinator for UNSW for over 7 years
• Dance Captain for Dargie Entertainment for over 8 years
• NSW Government’s Digital Champion
• Buster Noble Award Recipient
• Choreographed and Videoed Syllabus work for the Australasian Dance Association
• Performed as a professional dancer for Nathan Foley, The Wiggles, The Footy Show and Cronulla Sharks Mermaids
